2008 Ironstone Concours d'Elegance Photography by Dave Hargus

The Ironstone Concours d'Elegance was held in Murphys, California on September 27, 2008 at the Ironstone Vineyards. The setting for this event is in the California Gold Country foothills. Rolling hills with assorted oak and pine trees and vast grape vineyards provides a stunning landscape for this annual automobile show.

I have used a variety of techniques on my images to make the viewing more enjoyable. Some of my photographs of this event are manipulated on the computer to give them an illustrated-painted appearance. This technique lends itself well to elegant automobiles. I also use wide-angle lenses up to a 180 degree diagonal fisheye really take in everything. Lastly, I captured some images with a digital infrared camera that gives the scenes an awesome appearance.
